About The Owner
Charles Alvin Matthews, Jr. is the owner of Big Pipe Mechanical. As a San Francisco business owner and resident, he brings the strategy and vision to expand business growth throughout California. Mr. Matthews is a Certified Welder and Steamfitter/Pipefitter, with over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. He has dedicated his career to working on wastewater treatment plants, oil fields, refineries, power plants, chemical plants, and residential and commercial high-rises. Mr. Matthews has experience working in Alaska, North Dakota, California, and Georgia. As someone who has done the work firsthand, Mr. Matthews is able to build a strong sustainable workforce, where on-the-job coaching and training allows his team to provide the highest standard of workmanship. Under his leadership, he has guided the business from a minor operation of $50,000 per year in annual revenue to a over $4.5M business in just four years.
